Bar/bat mitzvah

Our transition from childhood toward the freedom and responsibility of adulthood shapes all the passages to come on the sacred journey of life. For Jewish children, the potential throughout the journey is heightened by a bar or bat mitzvah experience celebrating their own personal growth and grounding them in our people’s centuries-old collective wisdom.

Dor le-Dor, Reb David’s lively, interactive learning program, will draw your child—and you as well—into wrestling with age-old questions by reclaiming and exploring traditional Jewish texts. Every child gains the knowledge and skills needed to take on their own role in our collective responsibility and to be an active participant in the Jewish world. Full program description

Kiddushin

A Jewish union is about coming together to create a whole and holy state. Before the ceremony, Reb David will talk with couples to solidy their plans, and to create a ceremony that is right for them. Reb David supports same-sex Jewish couples who wish to marry under Jewish and Canadian law.
